Miata Breaking the track record at Sandown Parks

Black Cavier

Black Caviers Odds have been smashed by the UK Bookmakers due to the English Wonder Horse 'Frankels' injury set back.

Black Caviers odds have dropped to $1.30 and Frankels rising to $2.85.

It is now the expected Black Cavier will be the horse to win the Diamond Jubilee at Royal Ascot next month, But Frankel will still be a big challenge for the Australian horse.

Black Cavier is looking to make it 22 wins form 22 starts next month.

Weekend Of Racing

It has been a massive weekend of racing with, Mawingo winning the Doomben cup in a heated protest, Apprentice jockey Katelyn Mallyon horrifying fall and the death of two horses at Flemington.

Mawingo won the Doomben Cup in a heated protest on Saturday. Peter Moody Trainer of the favourite for the race Manighar, alleging interference brought on the protest on the turn out of the straight 300m after the start of the 2000m event.

Mawingo won by a short head to Moody's other Horse in the race 'Light of heaven' with Manighar coming in just under 2 lengths after them.

Clearly Manighar struck trouble when Mawingo crossed in front of him, but Stewards dismissed the objection but noted Manighar had suffered interference. The two-length margin was decisive.

Moody Stated to the stewards, "It was our intention to settle in the box seat third and my horse was not afforded the chance to be there."

Mawingo's trainer, Anthony Freedman, also took aim at Moody.
"I think the protest is ambitious at best. It may have cost him a neck at the most," Freedman said.
Mawingo is now qualified for the Caulfield Cup and Freedman and Rawiller believe he will be a much better competitor by October.

It was shocking to see that Talented apprentice jockey Katelyn Mallyon was knocked out when the horse she was riding 'Deliver The Dream' fell in the seventh race at Flemington on Saturday.
Mallyon was unconscious for three to four minutes and was taken to Royal Melbourne Hospital, where she under went tests, which later revealed she had a broken T6 vertebra and facial fractures and is likely to need surgery.
It was a tragic Saturday afternoon at Flemington with 'Absolute Spirit' breaking its sesamoid bone after finishing 5th in the Trevor Clarke Handicap which was the opening race and only 2 races later 'Sparks Burn' his off fore-leg with 250m to go.
Both of these horses had to be put down.
This has caused uproar with Flemington Trainer Danny O'Brien stating that the track is not up to standards.
It has been an eventful yet tragic weekend of Racing.
